Our Mini Vacation

On the first weekend in January, we decided to take a miniature trip to Phoenix to visit some friends. We first went to a little amusement park for children (aged 2-10) called Enchanted Island. It was loads of fun and only cost $18.50! The best part was that there were no lines and Ruth could just stay on the ride and ride it over and over again if she wanted. The weather was perfect(about 70 degrees with clear skies and warm sunlight). Ruth very much enjoyed the whole event. After the amusement park, we checked into a hotel, dropped off our stuff, and headed out to meet our friends for sushi. YUM! The next morning, we went to breakfast, shopped at Deseret Book, visited the Mesa Temple and headed back to the hotel for a swim in the hot tub (it was too chilly for the regular pool). After having lunch and playing softball at the park with our friends, we headed home to find a blizzard awaiting us in Flagstaff. It was a perfect vacation.

Sounds so fun and wonderful! To see you enjoying finer weather in short sleeved shirts makes me so very jelous! Its like 12 degrees today and so cold her in Logan. It snowed on us about 6 weeks ago and it just has continued for that time and so its really snowy here. The kids are all stir crazy and the moms are tired of being indoors! We seek the society of other moms but I guess I will have to content myself with my friends online since it really is cold out there and I dont see myself going anywhere for now. I love your blog by the way!! Its fun to "keep up with the Jones!!" Glad you had a fun mini vacation, looks like it was fun!! Have a good one!

It gets pretty cold here in Flagstaff too. We actually get snow! We have had two big snowstorms so far. The first, we got 17 inches, the second was 18. We are lucky though because when we get sick of being cold, we just have to get in the car and drive for two hours to Phoenix. It's always great to hear from you Moana!
