Gareth's Obsession

Gareth has a passion for wind power. He just LOVES windmills and wind turbines. At the beginning of May we went to the local Windmill Museum here in Lubbock. Gareth was very, very excited about it all.

Ruth's Birthday Party

Here are a few pictures of Ruth's birthday party back in April. (Still catching up!) We had a relaxing morning at the park with some of her friends.

Bethany is supposed to be MY BFF, but she's really just using me to get to Ruth. Bethany made this awesome fruit bouquet for Ruth. It was devoured in just minutes.

Here is my attempt at making a cake. Can you guess what it is??

Here's Gareth and his buddies hangin' out during the festivities. They're cool dudes.

On the topic of Aliens...

Mom: "I had a dream last night that aliens were trying to take over the world."

Ruth: "Why were they trying to do that?"

Mom: "Because that's what aliens do best."

Ruth: "No it's not, the thing that aliens do best is fly in flying saucers and make holes in the moon."

Our first circus!

I'm playing blog catch-up tonight. My goal is to get caught up before the baby arrives so keep checking in to see what's new!

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in the third week of April, we were able to go to the circus! This was a new experience for most of us and we loved it! It was even more special because we had seats right next to our dear friends.

Before the show started, they had a pre-show where we could go down and mingle with the performers and do stuff. Ruth got to try on a costume:
Then she and Gareth were able to get their picture taken with this dude:He was pretty cool...this is what he did during the show:Never, ever go to the circus hungry. This cost TEN DOLLARS:
But we were able to keep the cup...so we're all happy about that. AND nothing beats eating a clown's brains....who'd'a thunk... a clown with a rainbow brain??

Ruth's favorite part was Kylie. (yes, I do realize she's not a part of the circus, but that was what Ruth enjoyed the most).

Gareth loved the elephants:

Jones and my favorite was the guy on the bike. He did some pretty cool things with his regular-sized bike which were pretty impressive, but we weren't completely impressed until he pulled this out of his suitcase:

And then we were left speechless when he pulled this out next:

Aside from the price of the clown brains, we LOVED our evening. We'll do it again next time we get the chance.

Y'all wanted belly shots??

You know how much I hate getting my picture taken. Which is why I haven't supplied you with any belly shots throughout my pregnancy. Ruth is the sweetest girl in the world and she offered to do them for me. Completely her idea, I promise.

And yes, that is about what I look like.

I love my kids

It's times like these that I have to sit back and think about how much I LOVE THESE KIDS!

A Contest!!!

Sorry I haven't posted in so long... I have a TON of pictures but my camera's batteries are dead and I can't find the charger and I'm too cheap to go buy new batteries...so keep looking. Until then, we have a contest for you to enter!!

The contest is this: Guess the gender, day, and time of the birth of our baby!!

I've been wanting to do this contest for quite some time now, but it was too soon to get it started. Now I am officially 36.5 weeks along and we expect our new arrival in just a couple weeks. So let the contest begin!

Rules:
  1. Post a comment at the end of this post with your guess of the gender of the baby, the day the baby will be born, and the time it will be born. If you want, just for fun you can add your guesses for weight and height, but those won't be taken into account unless there is a tie.
  2. If you already know the gender then please refrain from making any mention of gender. If you do well with day and time, I will still consider letting you win.
  3. There will be a real prize for the winner!
Hints:
  1. My official due date is June 8th
  2. Ruth was born 7 days early at 7:20AM
  3. Gareth was born 6 days early at 9:27AM
  4. I used an epidural with both; but won't be using one this time (unless I change my mind).
Good luck!!

On a side note. We are planning on sending out a text message after baby is born to all who are interested. If you want to be included please send me an email with your cell number (be aware that this text message might come in the middle of the night because we're rude that way). Standard text messaging rates apply.
