The Wedding Day

Audra and Marrott (that's what we call him...He's a Michael and we already have one of those) got married!!  The ceremony was great.  Jonesy cried.  I cried.  Audra giggled.  Marrott giggled too.  After the sealing we all went outside the temple and waited.

Jade, Grandpa Jones, Ruth, Harley

And waited.....

And waited.

And got really bored WAITING.

Finally, Audra and Marrott made their exit from the temple as husband and wife.  I don't have pictures... maybe someday I'll get copies.  After the pictures at the temple, we went to a luncheon at Thanksgiving Point.  Audra was beautiful!  (Marrott was okay looking).  After the luncheon was the reception.  It was the best reception I've ever been to.  There were crepes and lots and lots of dancing!  The kids had a blast (and so did I!!).  Jones was the DJ and he secretly stuck our song in the mix so we got to dance together to our song (first time EVER!)  It was so romantic. :)

Gareth was not at all shy about asking girls to dance.  Here he is with cousin Harley.
Wow... I really need more pics of all of these events!  Anyway, it was great fun.  We're happy to have Michael Marrott in our family now!

A Jr Bachelorette Party

Way back in August we got to celebrate Audra and Michael Marrott's wedding!  The night before the event, we had a Jr Bachelorette Party.  Veronica and her girls (and James, too), Nina, Audra and Ruth and I partied like it was 1999.  We did toes and nails and facials and hair.  It was loads of fun!

Update

Its not like our lives are incredibly busy or anything.  I mean, yes, we do have a lot to do and we spend a lot of time being busy, but that's not really the reason I haven't blogged much lately.  My entire reason for not blogging lately is that I just haven't.  There.  I feel better now.

So I think I'll do a quick update on everyone and then hopefully, later I'll post some pictures of what we've been up to all summer.  Sound good?  Good.  We'll go youngest to oldest.

Ronan
Lately Ronan has been busy proving to us that the "terrible twos" really DO exist.  For the older two, we were of a belief that "terrible twos" were a myth.  Ronan a great desire to become independent.  The problem is that he still hasn't developed the ability to complete most things by himself and he can't quite communicate to us exactly what it is he wants to do.  This causes many tantrums.  Luckily, Ronan is also going through a "very adorable and cute" phase as well so we are all able to tolerate him fairly well.  The funniest part about Ronan is that he's really good at mimicking anything you say.  You can get him to say some pretty cute/funny things.  (and if Jones isn't careful, he could easily mimic some notty things too).  Ronan loves to talk and he's learning new words every day.  His favorite toys are trains, cars, airplanes, balls and anything with a button.  Ronan is also very good at climbing things and has almost no fear.  Luckily, he's got a large frame so he probably won't break any bones if he falls.  We love Ronan SO, SO, SO much!

Gareth
Gareth loves pretending to be a spy.  He also loves spy movies (like Spy Kids).  Right now he's convinced that he's a secret agent (Agent F).  Gareth just surprised us by learning how to swing on the swings all by himself!  He's pretty good at it too.  Another recent accomplishment is that he now loves to swim.  This time last year, Gareth hated getting in the pool and hated even more getting splashed or going under water.  At the beginning of the summer, Gareth figured out how to hold his nose and go under water.  Now he LOVES it!  We're so proud.  Gareth is doing preschool online through the UPSTART program.  He's doing well and learning so much.  Gareth loves to build things, but even more than that, he loves to take things apart.

Ruth
Ruth just started second grade!  We can't believe how fast she's growing up!  Ruth absolutely loves going to school every day.  She still enjoys math and science and she's doing great with reading.  She hates homework though.  Ruth is still our social butterfly.  She's very friendly to all and she isn't afraid to make new friends.  Ruth is joining a theatre program called Up With Kids for school-age kids where they are going to be performing Rapunzel at the end of the school year.  She's pretty excited about that.  Ruth still loves swimming and climbing.  She also loves to play computer games and watch TV.  Her favorite show right now is Phineas and Ferb.  I have to admit, it's my favorite too. :)

Havilah
I started school in June.  I'm going to Western Governor's University.  It's completely online and it's a GREAT program.  I'm working on a teaching degree.  When I'm done with that (in about 18 months), I'll be on the lookout for a good program to earn my graduate degree in Library Science.  Yep, I'm aiming to become a librarian!!  (I'm just a little bit excited).  School's going well so far.  It doesn't keep me too busy.  Other than school, there's not much else new in my life (and I'm totally ok with that).

Jones
Jonesy has some pretty exciting things going on in his life (he would disagree).  He is going back to school!  Jonesy is going to Salt Lake Community College to get a certificate in Media Design Technology.  Hopefully he'll be able to enjoy it at least a little bit.  He's also started up a new hobby.  Fishing!  He hasn't had much luck with it yet though.  Aside from the six stitches he had to get in his finger from his fishing knife, he hasn't caught any fish yet either.  But he's still hopeful.  Even though our job circumstances and living arrangements haven't changed much, Jones is starting to do much better dealing with life.  Oh, and he's totally awesome too.  But you knew that already.

So there you go.  Hopefully I'll be able to get some picture posts up soon!
