Mommy: "That's right! Do you want to be a magician when you grow up?"
Ruth: "Yes, but I still want to be a cook."
Mommy: "Do you want to be a mommy too?"
Ruth: "Yeah, I want to be a mommy too."
Mommy: "You can be anything you want to be."
Ruth (thoughtfully): "I want to be a giraffe."

lol. Daniel said just now after I read this out loud to all of us: "I thought she was going to be a princess, Mommy. You don't be animals for Halloween. Just costumes." We've set him straight that you can be animals, too (although this is kind of a different subject than what you want to be when you grow up). :D
Daniel is a funny kid. I'm glad he and Ruth are such good friends.
